Initiated by Caroline Jay and designed by Sue White, this is a garden we built at the rear of Guildford Cathedral to help children and young people explore feelings of loss with the support of their families, teachers, and carers. The garden incorporates 4 areas – the Winter Garden (a garden of thought) , The Spring Garden ( a garden of hope) , the Summer garden ( a garden of light) and the Autumn Garden (a garden of change). A local sculptress ,Christine Charlesworth,was commissioned to produce a bronze sculpture of two life-sized children now situated in the Summer garden.
